This term preschool children have been learning how to live a healthy lifestyle.

We have learnt about the eatwell plate and know that we need to eat lots of different things vegetables, proteins, fats, dairy and meats to maintain a healthy lifestyle.

The children joined Avalon gym to take part in exercise they used an obstacle course, dancing with ribbons and we had general movements to music.

The children painted their favourite movement they used in the Avalon gym.

We had a visit from Dr Perry to tell us how important it is to eat healthy, exercise and sleep to enable us to grow.  Dr Perry left us her stethoscope so that we could listen to our heartbeats before and after exercise.  The children also looked for other signs of change on their bodies after exercise, some of the things the children noticed they were hotter and their breathing was faster.
