Welcome to our site…
We aim to provide a happy and stimulating environment where all children flourish and enjoy their schooling. Class sizes are small (average 15) ensuring individual attention and individualised targets for development. Our success in external examinations is impressive, but so is the programme of academic support that we offer to help all individuals realise their potential. Mutual respect between staff and pupils, high expectations of personal conduct and effective liaison with parents are central to achieving our aims and objectives. Our range of extra-curricular opportunities gives children further opportunities to develop the skills and talents they can use throughout their lives.
Our school is a community, based upon a strong sense of family where older and younger children trust and help one another. We aim to combine traditional values with modern facilities and resources to create a real sense of enthusiasm for learning in a relaxed yet challenging environment.
We hope that you will find that this website will answer many questions you may have about Avalon. We always enjoy showing people around our school because only by spending time with us can visitors fully appreciate the very special atmosphere that is Avalon. If you would like to find out more, please do not hesitate to contact us and arrange a personal visit.
